Most people know that the average person should typically aim to lose 1 or 2 pounds per week. Well, what if I told you that there is a way where you can lose not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4… but up to 5 POUNDS IN JUST ONE DAY!!! That’s right. Not one month… not one week… one day!

Is this something you’d be interested in? I knew you would. But wait… there’s more!

In order for you to lose up to 5 pounds in one day (safely and for free) without changing your diet or exercising, there are just two requirements:

Public Service Announcement

Hello. What you just read was a public service announcement (and a joke). Its goal was to help educate the portion of the population that still doesn’t realize that weighing yourself any time of the day besides first thing in the morning is a very inaccurate way of tracking your weight. Especially if you sometimes weigh yourself in the morning, and sometimes weigh yourself later in the day. Doing so can result in you thinking you lost as much as 5 pounds. It can also just as easily result in you thinking you gained as much as 5 pounds.

As you can imagine, neither would be good. It’s not real weight or fat loss. This is just normal weight fluctuation that shows you weigh more at night (after eating and drinking all day) than you do in the morning (after not eating or drinking for the last 8 hours). It’s not progress or a lack of progress… it’s just normal weight fluctuation throughout the day.

Weight loss is all about making changes (through diet and exercise) and then accurately tracking the results of those changes. And, there is really only one time of the day when a person should weigh themselves when this is their goal. That time is of course first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Not just this time. Not just next time. Every time.

If you plan on weighing yourself any other time of the day or weighing yourself at different times of the day each week, you might as well throw out your scale and just ask the guy at the carnival to guess your weight for you. Chances are he’d be just as accurate.

    You know what I don’t understand? People that weigh themselves several times during a workout. I watched these girls come in and weigh themselves, then every 10 minutes go back over to the scale and get back on. I wanted to go down to the scale and calibrate it 20 pounds heavier so they would freak out. I usually weigh myself once every 2 weeks right before i work out, and it does fluctuate 3/4 pounds. I have’nt lost any weight in a while, which concerned me at first but then i noticed i lost fat, and that i was gaining muscle instead. My goal intially was to just lose weight, in which i did, but now my goal is to gain muscle, which in turn will make me put on weight, but it’s a better weight than fat weight. I’m trying this new supplement ‘size on'(creatine pills) for a month to see if it works, heard any reviews?

    JJ, I see the same thing in my gym, and it’s not just girls. There’s a scale in the locker room, and I see the same guys weigh themselves everyday before AND after their workout. This is a fantastic way to track… I dunno… sweating? People are nuts, and those people have gym memberships.

    And I’ve heard of Size On, but I honestly don’t know too much about it. Check out the supplement forum on a site like for reviews and info.

    Adrienne, that does work, but I usually recommend going for a leg instead of the head. If you don’t have a head, you can’t read the scale.

    I use my scale a lot, but because it has a fat and water percentage measurement on it. So even if I weigh myself first thing in the morning- I will use the body composition thing at any point.

    I’ve heard people that are fit and stay fit use their scale Every day so if you do start to gain you can Fix it Fast! I get on the scale every day most the time… and when I start going a little over “Thanksgiving was horrible” I Fix it Fast Never have a problem gaining after that! and when I lose it stays off because I never let my self gain it back!

    I am a wrestler,and i weigh my self everyday,but the thing is that right after a workout its going to say i weigh almost 5 lbs then i realy weigh,because its water weight,righ after if i drink water my weight will go up,so if u weigh yourself everyday,you will be fustrated,because of the ups and downs!!

    I hope everyone knows this is a spoof. When you weight yourself at night, you will weight more because you have eaten and drank already, you always weight less in the morning because you body has taken that a stored it and maybe you went to the bathroom and gotten rid of all the wastes that was in you sleep.
